Title | [2023.01.30 ~02.02 / Virtual] Consultation Sessions on the Green Climate Fund’s (GCF) Project Preparation Facility (PPF) |
---|---|
The Project Preparation Facility (PPF) of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) was established in 2015 with the objective to provide funding for the preparation of GCF funding proposals, especially those targeting small-scale activities and Direct Access Entities (DAEs). A support of a maximum of USD 1.5 million for any single PPF request can be accessed by Accredited Entities (AEs) provided that the underlying project has been reviewed and assessed against the investment criteria and relevant GCF policies and demonstrates strong alignment with the strategies and priorities of countries. Since its introduction, the PPF has committed USD 38.3 million of its resources and supported the development of 15 funding proposals worth USD 3.8 billion in total financing that were approved by the GCF Board. These consultation sessions are meant to seek feedback from National Designated Authorities / Focal Points and Accredited Entities on the performance of the PPF to date. As the GCF heads to its second replenishment period, your feedback would be most important for the GCF Secretariat to understand what is working well, what are the key lessons learned, what needs further improvement, and how the PPF can further support the development of innovative mitigation and adaptation finance projects and programmes. Four sessions will be available and will be conducted in English with interpretation to Spanish and French and captioning, allowing for participation by representatives of National Designated Authorities and Accredited Entities of the GCF across various regions. The sessions will be held at the following times:
Session 1
Session 2
Session 3
Session 4
by invitation only. |
